O3-14 Ozonator


The WaivLength O ³14 Ozonator is an air sterilisation unit that works by bonding oxygen (O2) molecules to form ozone (O3), killing a wide spectrum of bacteria and viruses. Through this method, the O ³14 can sterilise an entire room in a matter of minutes.

Ozone is a well-known, powerful oxidiser which can effectively kill microorganisms. Ozone applications in water and wastewater treatments are well-documented, and it is widely used in most modern cities. Experimental results indicate that ozone can be used as effectively as an air disinfectant as it can in water. Investigations into the bactericidal effects of high ozone concentrations on E. coli and S. aureus concluded that a death rate of more than 99.99% was achieved for both species after ozonation.

In addition to the strong oxidising power of ozone, other properties also make it an ideal aerial disinfectant. In contrast to UV radiation and HEPA filters, ozone is a gas that can penetrate every corner of the room, meaning it can effectively disinfect the entire room. As ozone is unstable, it is readily converted back to oxygen, leaving no harmful residual ozone after disinfection.


The worldwide outbreak of COVID-19 in December 2019 has increased people’s awareness of the transmission of respiratory diseases in indoor environments. Evidence shows that COVID-19 can survive on respiratory droplets for up to several days, and people breathing air containing these droplets will be at high risk of getting the disease. Therefore, there is a need for a reliable and efficient air disinfection method to decontaminate these high-risk areas.
